DMCA and Copyright Policy

MediDown respects copyright and responds to properly formed copyright notices. The service is intended for lawful public or user-authorized workflows, not infringement.

Copyright contact

Send copyright notices to copyright@medidown.com. Include "DMCA Notice" in the subject line when possible. For other policy or abuse issues that are not copyright claims, email abuse@medidown.com.

What to include in a notice

A complete copyright notice should include your physical or electronic signature, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing URL or material, your name and contact information, a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Takedown handling

MediDown reviews notices for completeness, may remove or disable access to specific temporary files, cached metadata, URLs, or pages when appropriate, and may contact the submitter if more information is needed. Because MediDown is not intended as permanent hosting, many temporary processing files may already be deleted by the time a notice is reviewed.

Counter-notice process

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake, send a counter-notice to copyright@medidown.com. Include your signature, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification, your name and contact information, and consent to the jurisdiction required by applicable law.

Repeat-infringer policy

MediDown may block users, URLs, patterns, or workflows associated with repeated valid copyright complaints, abuse, or attempts to process unauthorized content. The service may also rate-limit or reject requests that appear automated, excessive, or unlawful.

User responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring they own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to access and save any media they submit. MediDown does not grant copyright licenses, reuse rights, or permission to repost third-party media.

Restricted content

Public or user-authorized media only. Private, login-gated, DRM-protected, paid, age-restricted, region-restricted, and policy-restricted content are not supported.

Limitations and safe use

MediDown does not promise that every link will work. Platforms can remove media, require login, limit public requests, change page structure, or restrict media access. That is normal for public media tooling, and the downloader is designed to show clear errors instead of implying restricted access is possible.
