MediDownpublic media downloader
Privacy Policy

Privacy that stays simple

This page explains what the public frontend handles, what it avoids storing, and how temporary download data is treated.

What We Collect

  • URLs you submit for preview and download.
  • Basic operational logs for reliability and abuse prevention.
  • Temporary processing data required to generate quality options.

What We Do Not Keep

  • No account is required for the local frontend.
  • No saved browsing history is needed for the main flow.
  • Temporary artifacts are cleaned when they are no longer needed.

Cookies and Storage

The frontend only uses browser storage for lightweight preferences such as theme selection. No unnecessary tracking is added by default.

Chrome Extension

The MediDown Chrome extension does not track browsing or collect extension-side analytics. When you choose to open a page, link, or selected URL in MediDown, that URL is sent to medidown.com only to prefill the downloader input. The use of information received from Chrome extension APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
