MediDown FAQ
Answers to common MediDown questions about public downloads, private content, thumbnails, ZIP files, and platform limitations.
Common Questions
This FAQ explains how MediDown works, why some links fail, and how to use the downloader responsibly. It is written for users who need a quick answer before using the tool.
Supported Media
MediDown can work with videos, photos, thumbnails, audio extraction, subtitles, and multiple image galleries when the platform exposes those assets publicly or through user-authorized access.
Important Limitation
Public or user-authorized media only. Private, login-gated, DRM-protected, paid, age-restricted, region-restricted, and policy-restricted content are not supported.
Best Workflow
Paste one link at a time, review the preview, choose the recommended option first, and use advanced formats only when you understand whether a stream includes audio.
Quality Expectations
The highest available option is source-dependent. A page may show 4K, 8K, original photos, or subtitle files only when those assets are actually exposed by the public source. Missing buttons usually mean the platform did not provide that media type for the submitted link.
Responsible Use
MediDown does not grant reuse rights. Keep permission notes with saved files, avoid private or restricted URLs, and use official creator dashboards or platform exports when they are the correct path for account-owned private data.
Troubleshooting Pattern
When a link fails, test whether it opens in a signed-out browser, remove tracking wrappers from shared links, retry after rate limits settle, and choose the primary platform downloader before a narrow workflow page.
Why Some Pages Are Excluded From Search
Some focused workflow pages remain available for users but are kept out of search indexing when they substantially overlap a stronger primary tool or guide. The goal is a cleaner site with fewer duplicate search results and clearer paths for real users.

Where To Start
For most users, start with the homepage or a primary platform downloader. Use focused pages and help guides only when you already know the exact media type or error you need to solve.
Limitations and safe use
MediDown does not promise that every link will work. Platforms can remove media, require login, limit public requests, change page structure, or restrict media access. That is normal for public media tooling, and the downloader is designed to show clear errors instead of implying restricted access is possible.
Public or user-authorized media only. Private, login-gated, DRM-protected, paid, age-restricted, region-restricted, and policy-restricted content are not supported.
