Terms of Service

These terms describe how MediDown may be used. By using MediDown, you agree to use it only for lawful, public, or user-authorized workflows and to respect copyright, privacy, and platform rules.

Acceptable use

Use MediDown only for content you own, created, manage, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to access and save. Examples include creator backups, educational review, thumbnails for your own videos, subtitle review, authorized client assets, and metadata checks for public posts.

Prohibited use

Do not use MediDown to access, copy, distribute, or attempt to process private, login-gated, DRM-protected, paid, age-restricted, region-restricted, platform-blocked, confidential, illegal, or unauthorized content. Do not use MediDown for harassment, spam, malware, credential theft, scraping private accounts, or copyright infringement.

Copyright and reuse responsibility

MediDown does not grant ownership or reuse rights. Downloading or previewing a file does not mean you may repost, sell, publish, or redistribute it. You are responsible for confirming that your use complies with copyright law, licenses, permissions, and any applicable fair use or fair dealing rules.

Platform terms responsibility

Supported platform names are used only to describe compatible public link workflows. MediDown is not affiliated with those platforms. You are responsible for following each platform’s terms of service and content rules. If a platform forbids a specific use, do not use MediDown for that use.

Temporary processing and no permanent hosting

MediDown is a temporary processing tool. The service may generate previews, format lists, temporary files, subtitles, thumbnails, or ZIP bundles to complete a user request. It is not a permanent file host, archive, or backup provider.

No guarantees

MediDown is provided as available. Platforms can change layouts, restrict media, remove posts, require login, rate-limit requests, or expose only partial metadata. MediDown does not guarantee that every URL, quality, format, subtitle, audio track, image, or ZIP workflow will work.

Abuse prevention and termination

MediDown may block requests, throttle usage, remove access, delete temporary files, or report abuse when activity appears unlawful, harmful, automated, excessive, or inconsistent with these terms.

Limitations and safe use

MediDown does not promise that every link will work. Platforms can remove media, require login, limit public requests, change page structure, or restrict media access. That is normal for public media tooling, and the downloader is designed to show clear errors instead of implying restricted access is possible.

Public or user-authorized media only. Private, login-gated, DRM-protected, paid, age-restricted, region-restricted, and policy-restricted content are not supported.
